My Smart Garden
My Smart Garden is a free community program that promotes sustainable living through gardening education, practical tips, events and educational resources. In partnership with several Melbourne councils, the program helps communities adopt more sustainable gardening practices and make environmentally conscious choices.
The website serves as a central hub for gardening advice, educational resources, case studies and events that encourage sustainable living.
Challenges
The existing website had an outdated design, with gardening resources, articles, case studies and events difficult to find. The backend was also challenging to manage, making it less efficient for administrators and content writers to maintain and update the website.
As the project coincided with a brand refresh led by another agency, the challenge was to translate the new visual identity into an engaging digital experience while improving content accessibility, navigation and ongoing website management.
Approach
UX/UI Design & Information Architecture I focused on creating a clear and intuitive website structure that made gardening resources, case studies and upcoming events easier to discover. The design aimed to help users navigate the program's content and explore practical ways to incorporate sustainable gardening into their everyday lives.
